Classic Tales Retold

Christmas Comes Early This Year

You know Jim Carrey as the comedic actor everyone loves, but what about the grumpy old man who everyone loves not so much?

This year Carrey's bringing the Scrooge out of him as he portrays the selfish miser who despises happiness in Disney's A Christmas Carol. He also plays the three ghosts that visit Ebenezer with visions of the past, present and future. Gary Oldman (who played Sirius Black in Harry Potter) will play Scrooge's deceased business partner Marley as well as Bob Cratchit and the adorable and sickly Tiny Tim. Unlike other versions of this commonly recreated tale, Carrey has promised that this take on the classic stays true to the novel.

This 3D animated comedy hits Imax theaters everywhere November 6, so grab your 3D glasses and prepare to experience Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol like never before.

In this new take on the treasured classic Alice In Wonderland, Alice reunites with all of the quirky and eccentric individuals, including the Mad Hatter played by Johnny Depp, she met during her first trip to Wonderland, but this time a war has broken out. Her friends are ready to take on the terrorizing Red Queen, but they need Alice's help. The only problem is that she doesn't remember them. Follow her journey as she relives the whimsical world of Wonderland in this 3D live action and animated film. With it's breathtaking visuals, in depth characters, and fresh original take on Lewis Carroll classics, you will feel as if you're experiencing the tale for the first time while also being reminded of why you came to love it so much.

Directed by Tim Burton you can expect a strangeness that Johnny Deep will no doubt pull off, causing us to fall in love with yet another one of his cooky characters. Come join in on the fun once the film hits theaters March 5, 2010 in 3D and 3D Imax.

Miley's Oscar Movie?

First she's collaborating with a fashion designer and now she's working with a bestselling author! Miley Cyrus is on a roll and it only gets better from here.

Inspired by "A Walk To Remember", Miley Cyrus spoke her interest of wanting to do something similar to the film version. This interest got passed to the author of that novel and now the young and talented star has won herself a role that's much mature and emotion driven than anything she's done before.

The Last Song, written by Nicholas Sparks, yes the popular writer who's known for keeping Kleenex in business, is about a bitter teenage girl named Veronica (Ronnie) who still holds resentment towards her father after he broke apart their family. Unfortunately for her, she and her younger brother Jonah are forced to reunite with their estranged father who now resides in Wilmington, North Carolina. You can bet how that reunion is going to begin. This story is about love in all its different colors and shows how faith will always make a way for anything.
The film isn't due to hit the silver screen until January 2010, but if you seriously can't wait until then, the novel is on sale now! If you're like me you're probably going to read the book and still pick up a ticket the day the movie hits theaters:)
